Project Solution

ENE-EP (Empresa Nacional de Eletricidade) produces, transports and sells electricity and plays a key role in reviving the Angolan economy.

EST was contracted by Winpower to design, implement and install a turnkey electrical and automation solution for 5 power generation plants for ENE-EP, a total of 31 MAN diesel generator sets of 4.1MW each, to be installed in the cities of Benguela, Dundo, Huambo, Lubango and Ondjiva. The implemented system automatically controls and protects each generator set and also controls the auxiliary systems of each MAN generator set, namely the fuel supply, water cooling, etc. The system automatically records process variables and also allows graphs to be consulted and reports to be drawn up on the data recorded.

This project has made it possible to increase electricity production capacity in the 5 cities and consequently improve the quality of the energy supplied to the population of these cities.
