Project Solution

ENE-EP (Empresa Nacional de Electricidade) produces, transports and sells electricity and plays a key role in relaunching the Angolan economy.

EST was contracted by Winpower to design, implement and install a turnkey electrical and automation solution for this power generation plant for ENE-EP, made up of 11 MAN diesel generator sets of 3.5MW each. The implemented system automatically controls and protects each generator set and also controls the auxiliary systems of each MAN generator set, namely fuel supply, water cooling, etc. The system automatically records process variables and also allows graphs to be consulted and reports to be drawn up on the data recorded. The plant can feed the network as a master or in parallel.

This project has made it possible to increase electricity production capacity by 40MW and consequently improve the quality of the energy supplied to the city’s population.
